A reusable founder tool

Idea validation
without the
networking drain.

A structured way to turn research into evidence of customer commitment, then reuse the process for every idea you are considering.

0 of 8 essentials complete

01 / Frame

Name the real job.

Start with a person, a moment of need, and the workaround they already tolerate. An idea cannot be validated until it is specific enough to be rejected.

02 / Evidence

Find existing pain.

AI can speed up discovery, but record only evidence you can trace to a source. Look across reviews, communities, job adverts, help centres and competitor complaints.

03 / Community map

Go where the problem is already discussed.

Search the identity, incumbent tools, events, exact complaint phrases, and trusted creators. Score the communities you find; do not mistake a large audience for a useful one.

Score each row. Prioritise 7/10 or above.

04 / Offer

Ask for commitment, not opinions.

Your smoke test needs one audience, one clear outcome, an indicative price and one action that costs the prospect something small: time, attention, data, or money.

Light-touch pilot invitation

“I am exploring a small tool for [specific job], for people who currently [workaround] and want [outcome]. I am looking for a few early pilot users who can give asynchronous feedback. If it is relevant, use [link].”

Keep it truthful. A prototype is not a finished product.

05 / Pilot

Deliver before you automate.

A concierge pilot can be manual. Its purpose is to reveal what must be repeatable before you build it.

06 / Decision

Make the evidence decide.
